Stafford announced today that sample ballots for the January 31 Presidential Preference Primary are being mailed to Escambia County voters. The sample ballot includes a ballot image, the voter’s polling location, instructions on marking their ballot, and information on early voting, absentee voting, and voting on Election Day. A sample ballot is also available at EscambiaVotes.com. While only registered Republicans can vote in that party’s primary for President, all voters, regardless of party, can vote on the countywide EDATE referendum.
Extended Office Hours

Legislature Changes Florida's Election Laws
Published on June 2nd, 2011Governor Scott recently signed into law a host of election law changes passed by the Florida legislature. Among the changes are: new days and times for early voting, a new date for the primary election, new rules on third-party voter registration, and much more.

News Release: 2010 General Absentee Deadline
Published on October 25th, 2010Wednesday, October 27th is the deadline to request an absentee ballot be mailed for the November 2, 2010 General Election. A voter will still have the ability after Wednesday to pick up an absentee ballot in person from the Elections Office.
Voted absentee ballots must be received in the Elections Office (not at a polling location) no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 2nd.

2010 FSASE Scholarship Recipient
Published on May 27th, 2010Florida State University student Matthew Rizzo was recently awarded the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections (FSASE) Joe Oldmixon Scholarship. Mr. Rizzo, an Escambia County resident, is a junior majoring in business management.
Each year the FSASE awards three (3) scholarships to eligible students throughout Florida. The scholarships are available to juniors or seniors attending an accredited Florida university or college majoring in political science, public or business administration or journalism/mass communications.

Registration Deadline Approaching

Florida law mandates that registration books close 29 days before an election. New registrations must be completed on or before Monday, October 26th in order for them to be effective for the November mail ballot referendum.

2009 FSASE Scholarship Program

Published on November 10th, 2008Registered Voters in City Council, Districts 4 and 7 are eligible to cast a ballot in a run-off election to be held on November 25, 2008. A total of eight (8) precincts are involved in this election: 14*, 32, 35, 46, 47*, 48* and 56*. NOTE: Precincts with an asterisk (*) are partially in the City of Pensacola and partially in Escambia County. Only voters in the City of Pensacola, Districts 4 and 7 are eligible to vote in this election. Three Ways to Vote

- Absentee ballots may be requested by contacting our office either by mail, email at: absentee@escambiavotes.com, online at www.escambiavotes.com/absentee-request/new by mail, or by phone (850-595-3900). Requests for absentee ballots must include the voter’s name, date of birth and address. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Wednesday October 29, 2008. Polling Location Changes
Published on July 28th, 2008Four (4) of Escambia County’s ninety (90) precinct will move to a new polling location for the August 26th primary and November 4th general elections. Each registered voter in the affected precincts is being mailed a letter of explanation with a map of the new location, along with a new Voter Information Card with the updated polling location.
New Voter Registration Drive Launched

Soil & Water Conservation Group 2 on November Ballot
