News Release: Absentee Deadline for Primary
Voters who wish to be mailed an absentee ballot for the August 24th Primary Election must request their ballot no later than close of business Wednesday, August 18th.
Absentee ballots can be requested by contacting the Supervisor of Elections by mail, phone (850-595-3900), email ([email protected]), or by using the online form at EscambiaVotes.com. Requests must include the voter’s date of birth and the address where the ballot should be mailed. Absentee voters can now follow the status of their ballot by clicking the Track My Ballot at EscambiaVotes.com
After Wednesday, a voter will still have the ability to pick up an absentee ballot in person from the Elections Office. Voted absentee ballots must be received in the Elections Office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, August 24th.
Early Voting at one of four early voting locations is still an option. Early Voting will be available from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily through Saturday, August 21st.
A third option for voters is to cast their ballot at their precinct on Election Day. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m until 7:00 p.m. Voters must present photo and signature ID at the polls, or must vote a provisional ballot. A touchscreen voting machine is also available at each early voting location and election day polling place for persons with disabilities.Permalink
